UK Dogging Locations: County-by-County Guide to Reported Dogging Spots

UK Dogging Locations: County-by-County Guide to Reported Dogging Spots

Dogging Locations UK, Car Parks, Woodland & Outdoor Meeting Areas..

Searching for dogging locations in the UK produces hundreds of results, but there is an important difference between a reported dogging spot and an established adult venue.

A swingers club has an address, management and opening hours. A dogging location is normally an ordinary public or publicly accessible place that people have reported using for outdoor meets. Locations can become inactive, access can change and old information can remain online for years.

The scale of the directories is substantial. Dogging Finder's September 2026 UK index reports 53 entries under Kent, 41 under Surrey, 38 under Bedfordshire, 35 under Ayrshire, 30 under Lancashire, 28 under Buckinghamshire, 27 under Cambridgeshire, 26 each under Leicestershire and Northamptonshire, and hundreds more throughout the UK. The directory itself acknowledges that dogging locations change over time.

LoveVella has therefore treated the following as reported dogging locations, not guaranteed places where sexual activity will be taking place.

England Dogging Locations

Bedfordshire Dogging Locations

Bedfordshire currently has 38 entries in one of the main UK dogging databases. Recent specialist sources also identify named locations around Bedford, Dunstable, Ampthill and Luton.

Reported Bedfordshire locations include:

• Ampthill Football Club car park | Ampthill
• Priory Country Park | Bedford
• RAF Chicksands area | Shefford / Bedford area
• Clophill lay-by | Clophill / A6
• Dunstable Downs | Dunstable
• Whipsnade area | near Dunstable
• Sharpenhoe Clappers | near Streatley and Luton
• Sandy Heath area | Sandy
• Finway Road area | Luton
• Grafham Water | wider Bedfordshire / Cambridgeshire border area

The locations range from car parks and lay-bys to woodland and country parks.

Berkshire Dogging Locations

Current directories contain around 25 Berkshire entries. Recent and established directories identify a number of named parks, woodland areas and car parks.

Reported Berkshire locations include:

• Virginia Water | Ascot area
• Valley Gardens | Virginia Water / Ascot
• Braywick Park | Maidenhead
• Maidenhead Thicket | Maidenhead
• Greenham Common | Newbury
• Prospect Park | Reading
• Mohawk Way area | Woodley / Reading
• Twyford Station area | Twyford
• Ambarrow Court | Sandhurst
• Black Park | Slough / Wexham area
• Church Lane area | Slough / Stoke Poges
• Thatcham woodland | Thatcham
• Windsor Great Park | Windsor
• Windsor Racecourse area | Windsor
• Court Lane | Iver

Current Berkshire reporting confirms several of these locations, including Virginia Water, Braywick Park and Maidenhead Thicket.

Bristol and Avon Dogging Locations

Some adult directories still use the former county name Avon rather than modern local authority boundaries.

Reported locations include:

• Aust Wharf | near Severn Bridge
• Bath M4 rest area | Bath area
• Woodland around the Bath motorway approach | Bath area

The current national directory retains Avon as a category with 23 reported entries.

Buckinghamshire Dogging Locations

Buckinghamshire currently has 28 entries in the national directory. A specialist county directory published in August 2026 also identifies locations around Amersham, Aylesbury and Milton Keynes.

Reported Buckinghamshire locations include:

• Raans Field | Amersham
• Ashgrove Picnic Site | Amersham / Great Missenden
• Watermead Lake | Aylesbury
• Aspley Woods | Milton Keynes / Woburn Sands
• Cockshoots Wood | Wendover / Great Missenden
• Cublington Spinney Picnic Area | Cublington
• Woburn Sands woodland | Milton Keynes area

These reports include picnic sites, woodland, car parks and lakeside environments.

Cambridgeshire Dogging Locations

The current national directory reports 27 Cambridgeshire locations.

Reported Cambridgeshire locations include:

• River Lane | Brampton near Huntingdon
• Grafham Water | near Huntingdon
• Grafton area | Huntingdon
• Countryside parking around Cambridge | Cambridge area
• Locations around Peterborough | Peterborough

Grafham Water and Brampton appear in established England dogging directories.

Cheshire Dogging Locations

A recent Cheshire directory identifies several named locations, while also warning through its listings that access at some historically used places has changed.

Reported Cheshire locations include:

• Alderley Edge | near Wilmslow
• Birchwood Forest Park | Birchwood
• Broxton Picnic Area | Broxton
• Burtonwood area | near Warrington
• Congleton area | Congleton
• Crewe area | Crewe
• Macclesfield area | Macclesfield

Alderley Edge is particularly useful as an example of why directories become outdated, because recent reporting notes changes to access at one historically mentioned parking area.

Cornwall Dogging Locations

The national directory currently reports 20 Cornwall locations.

Reported environments around Cornwall tend to include coastal car parks, beaches, rural parking and woodland. Because some Cornwall directories provide vague or old descriptions rather than reliable named places, LoveVella has not converted those descriptions into supposedly confirmed locations.

Cumbria Dogging Locations

Reported Cumbria locations include:

• Allonby coastal parking areas | Allonby
• Ashness Bridge area | near Keswick
• Ashness Farm area | Keswick
• High Bentham area | Cumbria / Lancashire border region
• Brampton A69 picnic area | Brampton
• Lake District countryside parking | wider Cumbria

These are reported locations rather than designated adult areas.

County Durham Dogging Locations

Recent directories identify car parks, picnic areas, lay-bys and woodland across County Durham.

Reported locations include:

• Bishop Auckland area | Bishop Auckland
• Bowburn area | Bowburn
• Castle Eden area | Castle Eden
• Waldridge area | Chester-le-Street
• Consett area | Consett
• Crook A68 picnic area | Crook
• Darlington area | Darlington
• Saltersgate area | near Tow Law
• A19 Wolviston area | Wolviston

Some directories specifically associate picnic areas and public facilities with reported activity. That does not mean ordinary people using those facilities are participants.

Derbyshire Dogging Locations

The current national directory reports 13 Derbyshire entries.

Reported Derbyshire environments predominantly include country parks, reservoirs, woodland and rural parking. Because many available listings are historical or provide vague road descriptions, they should be checked against recent community information before being regarded as current.

Devon Dogging Locations

Established UK directories contain numerous named Devon locations.

Reported Devon locations include:

• Walls Hill | Babbacombe
• Barnstaple Leisure Centre area | Barnstaple
• Chudleigh reservoir area | Chudleigh
• Haldon Forest | Exeter area
• Ashclyst Forest | Exeter area
• Lydford Forest | Lydford
• Broadsands / Elberry Cove area | Paignton / Brixham
• Jennycliff | Plymouth
• Devils Point | Plymouth
• Roadford Lake | Devon
• Bridge End area | Totnes
• Yelverton Moor area | Yelverton

These include forests, car parks, reservoirs and coastal environments.

Dorset Dogging Locations

Reported Dorset locations include:

• A35 Dorchester area | Dorchester
• Eype area | near Bridport
• Bournemouth area | Bournemouth
• Christchurch area | Christchurch
• Portland area | Isle of Portland

Some specialist directories also identify roadside public facilities. These should be treated particularly cautiously because people using a public toilet or rest area have not consented to sexual attention.

Essex Dogging Locations

Dogging Finder currently reports 18 Essex entries.

Reported Essex locations include:

• Fairlop Waters | Barkingside
• Langdon Hills Country Park | Basildon
• Riverside Leisure Centre parking area | Chelmsford
• Holland Haven Country Park | Clacton / Frinton-on-Sea
• Chigwell area | Chigwell
• Epping Forest / Chingford area | Chingford

These locations are identified in established England directories.

Gloucestershire Dogging Locations

The current national directory contains eight Gloucestershire entries.

The reports largely involve woodland, countryside parking and rural recreation areas. Current activity should be checked rather than assuming an older listing remains active.

Hampshire Dogging Locations

Dogging Finder currently reports 25 Hampshire entries.

Reported areas are spread around:

• Southampton
• Portsmouth
• Winchester
• Basingstoke
• New Forest area

The available directories contain numerous rural and woodland descriptions, but not all provide sufficiently reliable named locations to present them as current individual spots.

Herefordshire Dogging Locations

The national directory currently reports nine Herefordshire entries.

Reported location:

• Haugh Woods | Mordiford / Woolhope near Hereford

Haugh Woods is specifically identified in the established England directory.

Hertfordshire Dogging Locations

The current national directory reports seven Hertfordshire locations.

Reported locations include:

• Hatfield Forest | Bishop's Stortford area
• Warren Lane | Bushey
• No Man's Land Common | St Albans / Wheathampstead
• Stanborough Park | Welwyn Garden City
• Royston Heath | Royston
• London Colney bypass area | St Albans / Hemel Hempstead area

These locations appear in established dogging directories, although their inclusion should not be treated as proof of current activity.

Kent Dogging Locations

Kent is the largest county category in the current Dogging Finder database, with 53 reported entries.

Reported Kent locations include:

• Kingswood / Challock area | Ashford
• Newman Road area | Aylesham
• Bearsted Golf Course area | Bearsted
• Beltinge car parks | Herne Bay
• Minnis Bay | Birchington
• Blue Bell Hill commuter car park | Chatham / Maidstone area
• Blue Bell Hill Viewpoint | Blue Bell Hill
• Brenley Lane | Faversham
• Thornden Woods | Canterbury area
• Sturry Road Park and Ride | Canterbury
• Cobtree Manor Park | Maidstone / Aylesford
• Crutches Lane | Higham / Rochester area
• Cuxton Woods | Cuxton
• Dartford Heath | Dartford
• Joss Bay | Broadstairs
• Chilham area | Chilham
• Western Heights | Dover
• Greatstone seafront | Greatstone
• Gillingham Riverside Country Park | Gillingham
• Haysden Country Park | Tonbridge
• Mote Park | Maidstone
• Reculver | Herne Bay area
• Shoreham Woods | Shoreham
• Southborough Common | Southborough
• St Mildred's and Westbrook Beach area | Thanet

The current Kent directory explicitly lists many of these names, including Thornden Woods, Canterbury Park and Ride, Cobtree Manor Park, Cuxton Woods and Dartford Heath.

Lancashire Dogging Locations

The current directory contains 30 Lancashire entries.

Reported Lancashire and historically Lancashire-classified locations include:

• Ainsdale Beach | Southport
• Anglezarke Reservoir | Chorley area
• Ashurst Beacon | Skelmersdale
• Beacon Country Park | Skelmersdale
• Beacon Fell | near Preston
• Birchwood Forest Park | Birchwood
• Black Hill | Sabden
• Fairhaven Lake | Lytham St Annes
• Entwistle Reservoir | Bolton area
• Moss Bank Park | Bolton
• Bull Beck Picnic Site | Caton / Lancaster area
• Clifton Country Park | Salford area
• Crook O'Lune | Lancaster
• Crosby Beach | Crosby
• Daisy Nook Country Park | Failsworth
• Fleetwood area | Fleetwood
• Rivington | Chorley / Bolton
• Carr Mill | St Helens
• Haigh Hall area | Wigan
• Yarrow Valley Park | Chorley

The current Lancashire directory names these locations, although several fall within modern Greater Manchester or Merseyside boundaries. That demonstrates the geographical problems in community-maintained dogging databases.

Leicestershire Dogging Locations

The national directory currently reports 26 Leicestershire entries.

Woodland, reservoirs, country parks and rural parking dominate the reported locations. Some entries require further individual verification because older directories mix Leicestershire and Rutland.

Lincolnshire Dogging Locations

The national directory reports 16 Lincolnshire entries.

Reported locations include:

• Anthony's Bank | Cleethorpes
• Great Coates / Healing lay-by area | Grimsby area
• Stallingborough Old Road | Grimsby area
• Weelsby Woods | Grimsby
• Horseshoe Point | near Marshchapel
• Lincolnshire Showground viewpoint area | Lincoln
• Hartsholme Park | Lincoln
• Mortal Ash Hill | Scunthorpe
• Twigmoor Woods | Scunthorpe area
• Silica Lodge Ponds | Scunthorpe area
• Snipedales Country Park | near Spilsby
• Theddlethorpe beach and dunes | Theddlethorpe

These named locations are present in the current England directory.

London and Greater London Dogging Locations

The current national index separates London and Greater London, creating duplication between the two categories.

Reported London locations include:

• Fryent Country Park / Barn Hill | Wembley / Kingsbury
• Dulwich Golf Course area | Dulwich
• Cranford Country Park | Hounslow / Hayes
• Warren Lane | Stanmore
• Mad Bess Wood area | Ruislip
• Stockley Park area | Uxbridge
• Kenley Common | Kenley
• Jubilee Country Park | Bromley
• Crystal Palace Park | Crystal Palace
• South Norwood Country Park | Croydon
• Shirley Hills | Croydon
• Wimbledon Common | Wimbledon
• Trent Park | Enfield
• Victoria Park | East London
• Harvington Woods | Bromley area
• Leaves Green area | Biggin Hill

Some directory entries involve public toilets and public car parks. Their presence on a dogging website does not mean ordinary users of those facilities are participants.

Merseyside Dogging Locations

Some Merseyside locations continue to appear under Lancashire in older databases.

Reported places include:

• Crosby Beach | Crosby
• Carr Mill | St Helens
• Croxteth Hall Park | Liverpool
• Parkgate waterfront area | Wirral / Cheshire border area

County classifications vary substantially between the directories.

Norfolk Dogging Locations

The current national directory reports 21 Norfolk entries.

Reported locations largely involve woodland, coastal areas and countryside parking. Current regional discussions are more reliable than undated historical lists.

Northamptonshire Dogging Locations

The current national directory reports 26 Northamptonshire entries.

Country parks, reservoirs, woodland and rural parking appear frequently in the county's reported dogging-location data.

Northumberland Dogging Locations

The current national directory reports 21 Northumberland entries.

Reported locations include:

• St Mary's Lighthouse | Whitley Bay
• Belsay / Highlander area | near Belsay

Both appear in established England dogging directories.

Nottinghamshire Dogging Locations

The national directory currently reports nine Nottinghamshire entries.

Reported locations include:

• Holme Pierrepont | Nottingham
• Blidworth Woods | Blidworth
• Attenborough Nature Reserve | Attenborough
• Nottingham Racecourse area | Nottingham
• Clumber Park | Worksop
• Holme village | Newark area
• Girton area | Newark district
• Howbeck Lane area | Clarborough / Retford

These are specifically named in the established England directory.

Oxfordshire Dogging Locations

The national directory currently contains nine Oxfordshire entries.

Reported locations include:

• Culham Lock | near Abingdon
• Southam Road area | Banbury
• Stoke Wood | near Bicester

These three are explicitly identified by the England directory.

Shropshire Dogging Locations

The national directory reports 14 Shropshire entries.

Reported areas include:

• Stanmore Industrial Estate area | Bridgnorth
• Brown Moss | near Whitchurch
• Broxton / A41 area | Shropshire / Cheshire border region
• Telford area | Telford
• Ironbridge area | Ironbridge
• Oswestry area | Oswestry

As with other border counties, directory classifications are inconsistent.

Somerset Dogging Locations

The current national directory reports five Somerset entries.

Reported locations include:

• Brean Beach | Brean
• Brean Down | Brean / Weston-super-Mare
• Ladye Bay area | Clevedon
• Bleadon Hill | near Weston-super-Mare

These are coastal and countryside environments rather than designated adult venues.

Staffordshire Dogging Locations

Reported locations include:

• Bathpool Park | Stoke-on-Trent
• Highgate Common | South Staffordshire
• Bridgnorth Road area | Wolverhampton
• Baggeridge Country Park | South Staffordshire
• Barton-under-Needwood area | Burton area
• Burntwood area | Burntwood
• Burton-upon-Trent area | Burton

Established England directories identify Bathpool Park and Highgate Common among reported places.

Suffolk Dogging Locations

The national directory reports 19 Suffolk entries.

Reported locations include:

• Haughley Park picnic area | near Ipswich
• Nacton picnic area | Nacton / Ipswich

Both locations are explicitly identified in established dogging directories.

Surrey Dogging Locations

Surrey has 41 entries in the current national directory. The place you asked LoveVella not to mention has been completely excluded from this article.

Other reported Surrey locations include:

• A287 Farnham Road lay-by | Farnham area
• Holly Lane car park | Banstead
• Box Hill | Dorking
• Camberley nature reserve area | Camberley
• St Ann's Hill | Chertsey
• Cobham car park area | Cobham
• Cobham Common | Cobham
• Ashburton Park area | Croydon
• Earlswood Common | Redhill / Reigate
• Earlswood Lakes | Redhill
• Epsom Downs | Epsom
• Esher Common | Esher
• Frensham Pond | Frensham
• Rodborough Common | Godalming / Milford
• Tilburstow Hill | Godstone
• Hogs Back | Guildford
• Ham House area | Richmond / Kingston
• Leith Hill | Dorking area
• Lightwater Country Park | Lightwater
• Newlands Corner | Guildford
• Oaks Park | Carshalton
• Ockham Common | Ockham
• Puttenham Common | Puttenham
• Reigate Hill | Reigate
• Richmond Park | Richmond
• Shirley Hills | Croydon
• Woodstock Lane | Surbiton
• West End Lane | Esher
• Wisley Common | Wisley

The current Surrey directory additionally identifies an Epsom Downs public-toilet and woodland area, showing why public facilities sometimes appear in dogging databases. Again, ordinary users of those facilities should never be presumed to be participants.

Sussex Dogging Locations

The national directory currently separates some East Sussex entries while retaining a broader Sussex category containing 23 reported locations.

Reported settings include coastal parking, South Downs locations, woodland and countryside areas. Because the databases mix East Sussex, West Sussex and historic Sussex, current town-level information should be checked before assigning individual entries.

Warwickshire Dogging Locations

The national directory reports 25 Warwickshire entries.

Reported environments include woodland, country parks, picnic areas and countryside parking throughout the county.

West Midlands Dogging Locations

Older directories frequently mix West Midlands places with Staffordshire, Warwickshire and Worcestershire.

Reported locations include:

• Swan Pool / Sandwell Valley | West Bromwich
• Birmingham area locations | Birmingham
• Wolverhampton countryside parking | Wolverhampton
• Stourbridge / Kingswinford area | Dudley / Stourbridge

The current national directory separately categorises Birmingham and West Midlands, another example of inconsistent directory geography.

Wiltshire Dogging Locations

The current national directory reports 17 Wiltshire entries.

Reported locations include:

• Amesbury / A303 area | Amesbury
• Southampton Road area | Salisbury
• Badbury Clump | near Swindon
• Tog Hill | Wiltshire / South Gloucestershire area

These appear in established England location directories.

Worcestershire Dogging Locations

The national directory reports 24 Worcestershire entries.

Reported locations include:

• Fish Hill | near Broadway
• Lickey Hills | Bromsgrove area
• Blackpole area | Worcester

Older lists also place some West Midlands locations under Worcestershire, so those entries should not be copied without correcting the geography.

Yorkshire Dogging Locations

Dogging Finder currently reports 28 entries under Yorkshire while also maintaining separate categories for other Yorkshire regions and the historical Humberside category.

Reported environments include:

• Buckstones Edge | West Yorkshire area
• Moorland parking areas | West Yorkshire
• Reservoir areas | Yorkshire
• Woodland locations | South and West Yorkshire
• Coastal parking areas | East Yorkshire

For Yorkshire, searching by modern region and town is considerably more useful than treating the whole of Yorkshire as one local dogging area.

Scotland Dogging Locations

The current UK directory contains substantial Scottish coverage. Ayrshire alone has 35 reported entries, Fife has 25, Stirlingshire 19, Aberdeenshire 18, Lanarkshire 18, Angus 17 and Midlothian 17.

Aberdeenshire

18 reported locations appear in the current national database, involving rural, coastal and woodland environments.

Angus

17 reported locations currently appear under Angus.

Argyllshire

6 reported locations currently appear under Argyllshire.

Ayrshire

Ayrshire is one of Scotland's largest directory categories with 35 reported locations.

Edinburgh and the Lothians

Current directories distribute reported locations between:

• Edinburgh
• East Lothian
• Midlothian
• West Lothian

Midlothian alone has 17 entries. The inconsistent use of modern and historical county names makes deduplication essential.

Fife

The current national directory reports 25 locations in Fife, making it one of Scotland's largest dogging-location categories.

Glasgow and Lanarkshire

The national directory reports locations separately under Glasgow and Lanarkshire, with 18 Lanarkshire entries.

Highlands

Reported locations are fragmented between:

• Inverness Shire
• Ross Shire
• Sutherland
• Caithness
• Cromartyshire

This reflects the mixture of historic and modern geography used by community directories.

Perthshire

The national directory currently reports 9 Perthshire locations.

Renfrewshire

There are currently 11 Renfrewshire entries.

Stirlingshire

There are currently 19 Stirlingshire entries.

Orkney and Shetland

The current national directory also reports 5 Orkney locations and 2 Shetland locations.

Wales Dogging Locations

The same national directory contains extensive Welsh coverage, although historic and modern county names are mixed together.

Anglesey

10 reported locations currently appear under Anglesey.

Cardiff and Glamorgan

Locations are divided between Cardiff, Glamorgan, South Glamorgan and the Vale of Glamorgan. Glamorgan alone contains 26 entries in the current directory.

Carmarthenshire

The national directory currently reports 6 Carmarthenshire locations.

Ceredigion and Cardiganshire

Some databases continue to use the historic Cardiganshire name, under which the current directory reports 6 locations.

Denbighshire and Flintshire

Current directory coverage includes 9 Denbighshire locations and 4 Flintshire locations.

Monmouthshire and Newport

The current national directory reports 11 Monmouthshire entries and another 2 Newport entries.

Pembrokeshire

There are currently 7 reported Pembrokeshire locations.

Powys

Locations are fragmented between historic counties including Brecknockshire, Montgomeryshire and Radnorshire rather than consistently appearing under Powys.

Northern Ireland Dogging Locations

The current national directory also contains Northern Ireland categories.

Antrim

There are currently 4 reported Antrim locations.

Belfast

There are currently 2 Belfast locations in the national directory.

The database also contains county categories for Armagh, Down, Fermanagh, Londonderry and Tyrone, although publicly indexed details are considerably thinner than those available for England.

Car Parks, Woodland and Public Toilets

The research shows a very clear pattern in the types of places reported by UK dogging directories.

Car parks appear most frequently. They are followed by woodland, country parks, reservoirs, picnic sites, beaches, lay-bys and occasionally public-toilet areas.

Examples from the directories include Cobtree Manor Park in Kent, Beacon Fell in Lancashire, Priory Country Park in Bedfordshire, Esher Common in Surrey, Weelsby Woods in Lincolnshire, Haldon Forest in Devon, Attenborough Nature Reserve in Nottinghamshire and Haugh Woods in Herefordshire.

Public toilets also appear in some community directories. One current Surrey listing, for example, specifically identifies Epsom Downs toilets and the surrounding woods.

That information needs context. Someone entering a public toilet, walking through woodland or sitting in a car has not indicated sexual interest merely because the location has appeared in a dogging directory.

Why Some Dogging Locations Disappear

A UK dogging directory can never function like a permanent directory of adult clubs.

The national Dogging Finder database itself explains that locations change when places become popular and landowners intervene.

Access can also change because barriers are installed, car parks close, land is redeveloped or ordinary public use increases. Recent Cheshire reporting, for example, notes changed access around one historically associated Alderley Edge parking area.

The people using a location can simply move elsewhere too.

This is why an entry appearing in several search results does not guarantee current activity.

Reported Location Does Not Mean Everyone There Is Dogging

This is particularly important with the named locations above.

Richmond Park is still Richmond Park. Epsom Downs is still Epsom Downs. Attenborough Nature Reserve remains a nature reserve. A public toilet remains a public facility.

People can be present for completely ordinary reasons.

The same applies to cars. A vehicle parked at a location mentioned by a dogging website is simply a parked vehicle unless its occupants communicate otherwise.

A location can provide context, but it cannot provide consent.

Finding Current Dogging Activity

Modern dogging is increasingly people-led rather than location-led.

Instead of finding a car park and hoping somebody is there, adults can use dogging and swinging communities to find compatible people within their county first.

A couple can say they are interested in spectators. Another couple can look for couples. Someone interested only in watching can make that clear. Gay and bisexual men can find compatible men, while women can communicate with prospective partners before deciding whether they want to meet.

This also makes an old location directory less important than it once was.

The named places in this guide can show where activity has been reported, but current regional conversations and meet requests provide a better indication of whether people are actually active within an area today.

Consent and Privacy at Dogging Locations

Even among people who deliberately visit a known dogging area, interests can be very different.

One couple may want to be watched but not approached. Another may have arranged to meet one particular person. Someone else may only want to watch.

Consent to being watched is also separate from consent to being photographed or filmed.

Smartphones make this particularly important because faces, tattoos, vehicle registrations and other identifying details can easily be recorded.

Nobody should assume that attendance at a reported location provides permission to touch, photograph or record another person.

UK Law and Public Dogging Locations

There is no official designation that turns a public location into a legal dogging venue.

The legal consequences of public sexual behaviour depend on the circumstances and the jurisdiction. Conduct involving intentional exposure, public indecency, harassment or non-consensual observation and recording can engage different areas of law.

Scotland and Northern Ireland also have separate legal systems, so a legal explanation written specifically for England and Wales should not automatically be assumed to apply identically throughout the UK.

Most importantly, the presence of consenting participants does not mean uninvolved members of the public have consented to encounter sexual activity.

How to Use This UK Dogging Locations Guide

Treat the names above as reported locations to research further, not promises of activity.

Check how recently a place has been discussed. Look for genuinely recent regional information rather than several websites repeating the same historical entry. Remember that access conditions and ordinary public use can change.

A current conversation between people in your region is considerably more informative than an undated location list copied repeatedly across the internet.

Conclusion

UK dogging directories contain hundreds of reported locations across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

The named places range from Dunstable Downs, Priory Country Park and Greenham Common to Haldon Forest, Blue Bell Hill, Beacon Fell, Epsom Downs, Richmond Park, Weelsby Woods, Clumber Park, Brean Beach and St Mary's Lighthouse.

Car parks and woodland dominate the listings, but country parks, beaches, reservoirs, picnic areas, lay-bys and public facilities also appear.

None should be interpreted as an official dogging venue or a guarantee of current activity.

The strongest current UK directory itself acknowledges that dogging spots change, while comparing directories reveals duplicates, historical county classifications and places that have remained online long after conditions changed.

For LoveVella readers, the useful distinction is therefore between where dogging has been reported and where current participants are actually arranging meets today.

A location's reputation can provide historical or community context. It never replaces consent, does not make every visitor a participant and does not turn an ordinary public place into a private adult venue.
